I'm back!   I am so excited to be paddling in my second Dragonheart Vermont Festival!  I will be paddling with Team Align Cycling.  The Festival is a charity event that supports cancer survivors in our local community, including Dragonheart Vermont and its 2025 pledge partner: Sail Beyond Cancer VT.   As a warrior in treatment myself, this cause is near and dear to my heart.   I look up to so many of the Dragonheart breast cancer warriors and survivors - their strength, perserverance and camaraderie is unmatched!  Many have supported me on my own journey.   Last year, I was unable to paddle in this event because I had surgery the day before. This year I get to jump in a boat (hopefully through many races!) ahead of another surgery later in August.  Breast cancer is always on-going - whether it's surgery, chemo, radiation, years of meds, the mental battle...but it's events like these that help us see we are so much more than the diagnosis and we can actively do something about it.  So if you made it this far in my story, please think about donating to this wonderful cause.  Thank you!!!
